|Palatka, FL: On Thursday, May 9, 2013, at approximately 2:00 a.m., deputies with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office responded to 125 Old Peniel Road in reference to a disturbance.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered two female occupants of the residence had been stabbed. The investigation revealed that a family altercation erupted between Charles Hendrix, his wife and step-daughter.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported one female to the Putnam Community Medical Center and the other female to Shands Hospital in Gainesville, with non-life threatening injuries.
In June, 2011, the PCSO investigated a report of an accidental shooting at the same residence involving Hendrix and his wife who were unmarried at the time. The female was shot in the face by Hendrix with his .40 caliber, Glock handgun. Hendrix was convicted of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and received 30 months probation.
Hendrix has been arrested and charged with 2 counts of Attempted First Degree Murder.
