Traffic Stop Leads to Drugs and Weapon Arrest
Palatka, FL: On Tuesday July 22, 2014 at approximately 12:45 am Putnam County K-9 Deputy Mike Cooley conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle when he witnessed it run a red light at Husson Avenue and Silver Lake Drive in Palatka. During the course of the traffic stop Deputy Cooley’s K-9 partner Aries was walked around the vehicle and alerted to the driver’s door. Further investigation revealed Rodriguez to be in the possession of a trafficking amount of Oxycodone pills and to have a concealed loaded semi-automatic pistol without a permit.
Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the Putnam County Jail where he was booked on the following charges. He is currently being held without the benefit of a bond.

- One count of violation of probation
