Satsuma: On February 3, 2012 at approximately 3:00 am Putnam County Deputies responded to 108 Hermits Drive in reference to an assault call. At that location Deputies made contact with the victim who said that she and a male friend were sitting in her vehicle talking when they were approached by another acquaintance later identified as Steven Charter Rand. After arguing briefly with the victim, Rand then returned to his Dodge Dakota truck and rammed it head-on into the victim’s Durango from approximately fifteen (15) feet away and then left the area. Rand was located at his residence several hours later, placed under arrest, and transported to the Putnam County Jail. Rand was booked on two counts of Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon and one count of criminal mischief with a total bond amount of $4012.00. |
